Dirty Content. Clean Production. GoldenB’s Latest Release in a Nutshell

Hip-hop artist/producer GoldenB moved from his home town of Calgary to Vancouver in June of 2014 in an attempt to focus on his music career. Since then, he has been working at a trail blazing pace and has released 7 self produced projects on datpiff (and other platforms). During his short time in the industry, he has accomplished an impressive amount garnering enough attention on the mixtape circuit for various blog and magazine placements as well as having the opportunity to work with artists like Young Giftz (a chicago artist on Freddie Gibbs ESGN label), Adrian Lau (A new York artist on Super Producer Harry Fraud’s Surf School label) and more.

He started 2016 with a bang, releasing the final installment of his ‘Development’ series titled ‘Development 3.’ The project is hosted by DJ Iceberg and features 11 genre-bending, drug infused tracks that are dirty in content with clean production. The project is headlined by it’s single ‘Quicksand’ and each track tells a unique story touching on everything from GoldenB’s struggle with substance abuse (in ‘Ex X User’ and ‘Pink Motos) to his addiction to fast money and bad decisions (in ‘Travel’). He even shows a more vulnerable side on his track ‘Led You On’ where he reminisces about his regrets of a past relationship. Regardless of the listener, there is a track that everyone can relate to on ‘Development 3.’

Many artists take a little time to relax and enjoy the fruits of their labour after successfully releasing a new project but GoldenB hasn’t taken any time off and has big plans for 2016. He already has a full project of self-produced, unreleased tracks that he is putting the finishing touches on and he is currently working on 2 brand new music videos sponsored by ‘Creme De Chicago’ (his clothing sponsor). Keep an eye out for new singles, projects and videos from GoldenB in 2016, this kid has a bright future ahead of him and is showing no signs of slowing down.
